Dr. Lawrence is Board Certified in Orthodontics and in Orofacial Pain. Dr. Lawrence is one of only two orthodontists in the country to hold this dual board certification. This uniquely qualifies him to deliver orthodontic care for adult patients, and especially for adults who are experiencing jaw dysfunction. Board certification in orthodontics is voluntary and requires advanced education, written tests, an oral examination, and a presentation of the doctor’s treatment results on numerous types of orthodontic problems to a panel of nationally respected peers.
Our team uses the best bracket (braces) systems, wires, and clinic technology. The combination of technologically advanced braces and wires, many of which are gently activated by the temperature of the mouth, requires fewer visits to achieve great results. Self-ligating braces have no friction generating elastic rings and no metal bands around the back teeth. The advanced memory wires work for an extended time at very gentle pressure. This moves teeth faster, more comfortably and effectively with much less force on the teeth than traditional braces. This also allows longer time between visits, making treatment more convenient.
Dr. Lawrence is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at CWRU, School of Dental Medicine which gives him the opportunity to evaluate all the various orthodontic manufacturer’s products in the academic setting and select only the very best ones for his private office.
We care about your overall health, not just your teeth. We exceed the standards of the Center for Disease Control for equipment sterilization and patient safety. We installed a digital X-ray machine in 2004 because it takes images with 90% less radiation than traditional machines and gives us a superior quality diagnostic image.
Dr. Lawrence has annually been named a “Top Orthodontist – Northeast Ohio.”
He has been selected by his dental colleagues every survey since 2003 — the first year that Northern Ohio Live Magazine published this survey, now published in Cleveland Magazine. He is the only orthodontist in Lake County to hold this distinction. It is a privilege to be chosen by our neighboring family dentists as a Top Orthodontist even once. We start at the RIGHT time for your child, not the “first time.” Many young patients benefit from Dr. Lawrence monitoring their growth and development. This allows him to determine each child’s optimal start time to begin orthodontic treatment. We do not rush to start treatment just because you made an evaluation appointment. Our treatment plans are unique to each patient. There are no fees during this period.
Our office communicates closely with family dentists, other dental specialists and medical specialists. We work hard to create a dental health team for our patients in order to achieve optimal dental health and excellent orthodontic results.
